Within the framework of its working program in Wuhan, Hubei Province (China), the SinoBridge Vietnam delegation paid an official visit and held a working session at the headquarters of Tri-Ring Group, one of the leading state-owned industrial conglomerates of Hubei Province.

The delegation was led by Dr. Tran Van Tung, Chairman of the Vietnam information science and technology association and former vice minister of science and technology, together with experts, member enterprises, and coordinating representatives of SinoBridge Vietnam.

Gaining first-hand insights into Tri-Ring Group’s industrial capabilities and development orientation

During the meeting, the leadership of Tri-Ring Group presented an overview of the Group’s formation, development process, and core business sectors. These notably include automotive components manufacturing, precision mechanics, industrial equipment, industrial logistics, and industrial park development. Built upon a restructured state-owned enterprise operating under a modern group model, Tri-Ring Group currently plays an important role in the industrial supply chain of Central China and serves as a partner to many major manufacturing corporations both domestically and internationally.

The delegation directly examined Tri-Ring Group’s governance model, R&D organization, industrial park system, and its orientation toward automation, digitalization, and green manufacturing. These experiences were highly valued as practical references for Vietnam’s upcoming industrial modernization, supporting industry development, and domestic supply chain strengthening.

Promoting strategic dialogue on technology transfer and bilateral cooperation

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Tran Van Tung emphasized that Vietnam is entering a phase of accelerating innovation, developing science-and-technology enterprises, and strengthening supporting industries. In this context, connecting with large industrial groups possessing deep technological capabilities and strong management experience, such as Tri-Ring Group, is highly relevant and necessary. He highly appreciated the role of Chinese state-owned industrial groups in leading manufacturing ecosystems and expressed his hope that both sides could gradually develop concrete cooperation programs with clear roadmaps and high feasibility.

Discussions focused on technology transfer opportunities, production linkages, technical workforce training, development of industrial parks and clusters, logistics, and cooperation models between enterprises of the two countries through professional intermediary platforms. In this process, SinoBridge Vietnam was identified as a key hub for connection, coordination, and localization support, helping cooperative initiatives become practical and aligned with Vietnam’s legal framework, market conditions, and development strategies.

SinoBridge Vietnam’s bridging role in Vietnam-China industrial cooperation

Representatives of SinoBridge Vietnam noted that the visit and working session at Tri-Ring Group was not only an exchange and learning opportunity, but also a direct engagement with one of Hubei’s industrial flagships. This engagement opens up significant cooperation potential in areas where Vietnam has strong demand, such as automotive supporting industries, precision mechanics, advanced materials, logistics, and industrial park development linked with technology transfer.

SinoBridge Vietnam reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its role as a bilateral economic and technical cooperation platform, supporting connections among enterprises, research institutes, and science-and-technology organizations of both countries, toward transparent, sustainable, and mutually beneficial cooperation models. The close involvement of leading experts such as Dr. Tran Van Tung also helps ensure the strategic, scientific, and long-term orientation of the proposed cooperation programs.

Expectations for a new phase of cooperation

The working session at Tri-Ring Group headquarters took place in an open, constructive, and pragmatic atmosphere. Both sides agreed to maintain further exchanges at the technical level and to study potential pilot cooperation projects that align with Vietnam’s industrial development needs and Tri-Ring Group’s technological and manufacturing strengths.

The visit is regarded as a significant highlight in the SinoBridge Vietnam delegation’s program in Hubei Province, contributing to the deepening of Vietnam–China economic and technical cooperation, while opening new pathways for industrial connectivity, technology transfer, and regional value chain development in the coming period.
